Solutions
Thousands of Women Rely on Women’s Shelters in Canada
• Shelters have become a necessity for women and children to escape abusive situations.
• They have become over crowded and more are being built every day
62 Women were killed in Ontario last year
• These women were murdered by a spouse or partner.
Women and young girls are Raped or assaulted every minute in North America
The solution is within each community
• We as a society, must change our mind set that killing and raping Women and children is not acceptable

Society Must Act
• We as a society must accept responsibility for the Violence that happens everyday
• We as a society CAN change this abhorrent act against Women And Children
Education:
• The Education System needs to add to their curriculum that violence in any form is Unacceptable!!
• Educating the police in domestic situations, and the criminal courts must become proactive in sentencing
Children Learn what they SEE
• Children must learn that bullying and hitting can be punishable by law.
• That emotional violence is just as dangerous as the physical
• Parents must become more active in the actions of their children.
We as a society CAN change this Abhorrent act against Women and Children
• We must speak out collectively to stand beside these individuals who are physically, emotionally, and financially abused
